Stony Brook is a station on the Orange Line of the MBTA subway, located in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood. Stony Brook station has an island platform, located in a below-grade right of way, adjacent but not connected to commuter rail and Northeast Corridor tracks. The station was opened May 4, 1987 as part of the Southwest Corridor Orange Line relocation project. Since the 48 Jamaica Plain Loop, Monument - Jackson Square Station via Green Street & Stony Brook Stations route was discontinued on July 1, 2012, Stony Brook has no bus connections. Jackson Square, the next stop to the north, is a major bus transfer station. ==Nearby destinations==
